Hi name's Tracy, and I am a Mum of two girls aged 3 & 1 years. We live in Mosgiel, Otago with my partner of 7 years.

I came up with the concept of swapping kids gear, when I looked at the pile of clothes that my daughters had outgrown very quickly! Rather than throw it out or give it away, it occured to me that there must be other Mums in the same situation; and why not swap with them?

I figured the internet would be the obvious choice to reach as many parents as possible, and so in August 2008 Trade Kids' Gear was born. Trade Kids' Gear is a website that allows NZ parents to swap kids clothes, toys and accessories online. It works on a points system, a great alternative to upgrade & recycle your kids gear as they grow.

My motto is "Why buy new, when you can swap what you've already got?".
