Westec Automation Limited have been assisting New Zealand industry to stay competitive in the local and world markets since 1977. The Company in it's present form has evolved from the original Company of Plummer Pneumatics Ltd. and is the sole New Zealand agent for CKD Pneumatic components.

The CKD range of Pneumatic and Automation products is manufactured by the CKD Corporation of Japan. A strong R&D focus and expansion of their global sales network keeps CKD in a prominent position in the International marketplace. The combination of top quality Japanese designed product and local expertise in machinery automation, is an ecomomic resource available to all manufacturing and technology based industry in Auckland and throughout New Zealand.

Our unique system designs give extraordinary flexibility of function in meeting your control tasks. A standard,PLC based, electrical layout incorporating all control and safety functions in a stock, off the shelf enclosure, brings uniformity and reliability to many design solutions that have traditionally required one off hard wired or "black box" type systems. Ease of programming and training in understanding the programming language and modification has long term benefits for the purchaser of our systems.

Our staff, with a combined total of over 60 years in the industry, have seen many changes in the design and manufacture of pneumatic componentry since 1967. We pride ourselves on using the most up to date electronic controls and well designed actuators to ensure a reliable long term solution for your automation projects. We hold good stocks of air service equipment, valves, cylinders, fittings and tube in our Auckland warehouse. We offer local manufacture of VDMA standard cylinders, and heavy duty cylinders. We also have weekly air freight shipments from CKD in Aichi, Japan, for non stock items.

Westec Automation also supply other automation components to compliment and extend our control solutions.

We are distributors for ACE Controls Inc., USA manufacturers of Industrial shock absorbers, Safety shock absorbers and Velocity and feed controllers. ACE are World leaders in deceleration technology.

We supply ROSS Control valves for safety applications in power press control systems, general manufacturing and related heavy industries. Particularly robust in design, ROSS valves are employed in the aluminium smelting industry and in glass production wordwide.

Vacuum handling utilizing CONVUM vacuum generators and vacuum cups, gives us a variety of options in managing workpieces and components.
