Webstruxure’s vision is to make work with technology a lot more appealing and simple for non-technical people. We want to make them happy with good tools.
Our latest project is Sketch, a browser-based tool for web designers. It organises the very early part of a website creation process so that the designers’ clients can easily see and understand what’s involved. Designers improve collaboration, keep the project on track, do their job better, and save 10-30% of project cost.
Sketch beta (the pre-commercial version) will be released within a month – and over 10% of New Zealand’s design agencies have already lined up to participate in the beta program.
As a startup, we entered Wellington’s top business incubator, CreativeHQ, in 2004. We released our first product, siteNav, in 2006 – which failed miserably because we hadn’t worked hard enough to understand our market. We’d built a very clever widget that almost nobody wanted. And we learned some very valuable lessons!
In June 2008, we moved out on our own. We’re now a team of 7 people and look forward to enjoying the fruit of those hard-won lessons when Sketch succeeds.
