What makes us Made From New Zealand?

Vinrac is a new startup Company formed by Ian Hamblin and Toni Benton. Ian has had 20 years experience working in manufacturing in NZ and Toni has worked extensively in finance. In 1993 they started up Kiwi Springs Ltd, importing metal springs and industrial components into New Zealand. This has since grown, with the addition of an Australian division (Spring Solutions Pty Ltd) as well as the development of export markets in the Middle East. They moved from NZ to Australia in 2000 to be nearer to key markets. Over the past few years they have been increasingly sourcing finished products from their suppliers in Asia and hit upon the idea of developing a product of their own. After investigating the market they decided they could design a better wine rack, and after building numerous prototypes from Balsa wood, they came up with the "Vinrac design. IP protection in the form of design registrations has been granted in several countries.Online sales in the first six months have been encouraging in Australia, now they are looking to replicate this in New Zealand and other countries. Their experience in NZ has given them a can do attitude together with the ability to develop products quickly and economically. They are both regular visitors to New Zealand, catching up with friends and family and taking care of their business interests.
