The Peppertree Luxury Accommodation

Built in 1901 from native timbers, The Peppertree is a beautifully appointed Edwardian villa built in colonial style and located in 10 acres of lush farmland.
On arrival, guests are welcomed by the owners Heidi & Werner with a refreshing cold or hot drink and a simple tour around the lodge and garden at their leisure. From the sweeping expanse of the verandah, guests can survey the extensive country garden, croquet lawn, boutique vineyard and olive grove.
The timeless feel of this beautiful homestead continues into the five guest suites – each individually decorated and complete with fireplace, verandah or balcony. Wintertime is cozy at The Peppertree as the warmth of central heating pervades the homestead. Here all your expectations are exceeded.
Guests are always welcomed for a pre-dinner drink and can savour ‘The Peppertree Chardonnay’, grown in the boutique vineyard just metres from the homestead and made by owner, Werner. A wonderful opportunity to speak to a passionate winemaker!
With Marlborough’s extensive range of restaurants, there is always somewhere different to dine but guests are also welcome to enjoy the cuisine of The Peppertree (by prior arrangement) in the candlelit dining room. Guests are also always welcome to relax in the lounge with espresso coffee, a fine complimentary port or sherry complete with a good book and some classical music playing in the background.
Morning is eagerly anticipated with a mouthwatering breakfast of fresh fruits, fresh squeezed juices, cereals, homemade pastries and muffins, Swiss-style muesli is also available with eggs prepared as desired. And, of course, superb coffee for those caffeine lovers.
The Peppertree experience can be as full or as relaxing as visitors wish - from soaking up the Marlborough sun around the swimming pool, a game of petanque or croquet, or an individual tour exploring the nearby wineries. Werner and Heidi are always happy to arrange guided tours with the best local, knowledgeable guides available.
Other activities that can be arranged for the more adventurous can include trekking in the countryside or in the Marlborough Sounds, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, golf or a helicopter flight. The Peppertree even has its own private helipad.
