Krav Maga "contact combat" is the official self defence system of the Israeli Defence Forces and is considered by many professionals to be the most realistic & pressure-tested self defence system available today. It is a modern system originally developed to train ordinary men and women of any size, effective hand to hand skills in the armed forces. Krav Maga is not a 'fighting sport' or a 'martial art', it is pure street self-defence: no rituals, no rules, no tournaments. It is a battle-tested hybrid system built on only the most field-effective techniques, and is taught to many US & European Military, Police and Special Forces Units today. Tactical Krav Maga was founded by Itay Gil - a former elite IDF special unit commando.
