Stewart Browne Electrical was established in 1972 with a small number of staff engaging in medium-sized commercial and industrial projects as well as wiring and servicing many homes and businesses throughout the area.
With the arrival of the Kiwifruit industry in 1978, Stewart Browne Electrical took a proactive involvement and developed temperature controllers, switch boards and sensor interfaces specifically suited to pack house and coolstore needs. This proactive approach has become an integral component in the everyday running of the business and the number of registered electricians on staff has ranged from 16 to 25 ever since.
