Silicon Welly

Silicon Welly is a community of Wellington based, and New Zealand owned technology and creative businesses, individuals and organisations who together are making Wellington a high quality global hi-tech hub. As a hub, we run a co-working space, a cool pad in central Wellington where young entrepreneurs make it happen together and have a lot of fun doing it.

What we’re here to achieve

* Be a central marketing focused community of wellington Hi-tech businesses and people
* profile the cool companies that make up Silicon Welly
* profile the people, entreprenuers, developers, designers that are in behind the companies
* share knowledge and collaborate on ideas netween local tech and creative businesses
* work on & brainstorm new & joint opportunities
* connect with outstanding talent
* find the best local partners to work with
* Raise the perceived value of NZ tech and getting some value from collective marketing (as silicon valley does so well)
* Getting more visibility among investors (NZ and globally) and be able to broker better deals

What makes us Made From New Zealand?

We're doing our best to position Wellington and New Zealand as a global hi-tech hub, and the growing success of Silicon Welly businesses speak for themselves.

We pull together and help promote the cool and emerging young New Zealand entrepreneurs and their businesses in the web and new media space.

We run a co-working space in central Wellington where young entrepreneurs hang out with each other so we all share our learnings and keep each other on our A Game.
