Interacting extensively with Security users and specifiers, we offer direct wholesale supplies, warehouse facilities, specialised training and a high level of back-up support, specifically geared to meet market demands and customer needs.

Security Merchants was initially established in New Zealand in 1992 and subsequently in Australia in 1996, supplying innovative and reliable security products to the installation trade. We have since earned the enviable reputation as a leader in the industry and a supplier of choice. Our unwavering commitment to customer service has provided a solid foundation for business growth and expansion of our range of innovative and leading edge electronic security solutions.

Security Merchants now has eleven offices across Australia and New Zealand, employing more than 60 motivated staff and comprises of two companies; New Zealand Security Merchants Ltd and its Australian counterpart, Security Merchants Australia Pty Ltd. These companies are separate entities with commonality of shareholding, trade identity and modus operandi.

In 2004, Security Merchants joined with ASSA ABLOY, the world's leading manufacturer of locks and associated security products.

As electro-merchanical locking and access control go hand-in-hand, some of our branches now disply all group products in our showrooms i.e. Lockwood, Padde/Trimec, Securitron and Interlock locks, security, CCTV and access control.
