The Royal Dunedin Male Choir is one of New Zealand's oldest and most respected male choirs. Our repertoire includes popular tunes, embracing stirring hymns, operatic choruses, folk songs and traditional melodies.
The Choir undertakes fee-paying and charity engagements throughout the Otago, Southland and South Canterbury regions of New Zealand. The Choir can provide a complete show, including solo artists, a superb compere and the sound of the Royal Dunedin Male Choir.
Our audiences have included their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York (later King George V and Queen Mary), the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII), the Duke of York (later King George VI), the Duke of Gloucester, HM Queen Elizabeth II, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles (later HRH The Prince of Wales), Princess Anne (later HRH The Princess Royal), and the Duke and Duchess of Kent. The Choir's origins can be traced back to 1878.
