The director of the company Butch Mawdsley originally hails from South Africa, but several years ago he immigrated his entire family over to New Zealand and has fully adopted the culture (he has even adopted the Al Blacks as his home team). And considers himself to be on his "Kiwi Experience".

What makes us special is that we are passionate about making North Shore businesses realise their potential. We view these economic times as an opportunity not a huge setback, it is all about being creative and kicking your butt into gear.

Butch purchased the company approximately 5 years ago from its orginal owner and has since set about making it his own. We have recently changed our name from RES Business Development to RES Group to better reflect our service offerings eg. Not just accounting. If you check out our website you will notice that we have purposely positioned ourselves away from the rigid and traditional marketing of accounting firms and emitted a more fresh and dynamic approach, this is representative of how we do work at this company. We really take the time to get to know our clients and their businesses and like to work alongside them to help their businesses thrive...all while having a little bit of FUN!....now how many accounting firms can say that!
