OYSTER was formed by five ex-Bayleys Real Estate people to specialize in commercial property management and in particular the management and promotion of Proportionate Ownership properties.
Mark Winter, Managing Director of Oyster has had two decades of experience in the management and formulation of group ownership and proportionate ownership properties. He firmly believes that Proportionate Ownership offers investors a unique opportunity to invest in a number of high quality commercial properties that would otherwise be beyond the reach of most.
As a result, after 13 years as franchise holder of Bayleys Waikato he felt there was a need to form a specialist company that concentrated on this form of investment looking after the best interests of investors and their assets.
Oyster currently manages a portfolio of properties in Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North and Wellington ranging from central city high rise buildings to suburban retail shopping centres and industrial property.
Current investor clients number approximately 300 of which many are investors in multiple properties under management by Oyster.
Oyster’s portfolio is currently valued at in excess of $170 million with a rental roll in excess of $16 million per annum.
Oyster is of a size sufficient to both command respect in the marketplace and provide the benefits of economy of scale from suppliers, yet is small enough to still deal with our individual clients on a personal basis.
