This historic hotel has been lovingly restored by to it's former glory by it's new owners who took over in March 2007. The hotel boasts it's history of yesteryear and all accommodation has now been completed. With different types of rooms for all budgets, a restaurant downstairs with an excellent Chef preparing your evening meals, we welcome the opportunity to provide you with some "Good Old Fashioned Historic Hospitality". Breakfast, Lunches and Dinner are available daily, and we specialise in functions and conferences that make your occassion something truly to remember. Out the back of the hotel are the Schist/Stone stables - you may have already seen them without knowing! - Speights filmed their "Good On Ya Mate" ad there about the Two Tickets to the Ball. A real claim to fame and a tribute to this wonderful old building. Fondly called "McKinnons" as a result of the ad, it is open all day for you to come and view some real history - one of the first buildings in Omakau - don't forget to bring your camera. Imagine the ambience of this wonderful old building for your function - the food will compliment the compliments.
Call in for a coffee, a beer in a chilled glass (what happened to these?!) a fne Central Otago wine, or just stop on by and see what we have been doing, and how lovely this hotel really is.
