Nationwide Attendance Service (NAS)

The NAS acts on behalf of schools to follow up on students that are absent. Member schools send details to the NAS to the absent students and makes friendly, personal phone calls to follow up on these absences on their behalf and request an explanation. Identifies, records and reports the reason for the absence back to the school and determines if there are any underlying causes for why the student is not at school and direct parents to where they may obtain support or assistance where necessary. We can also share information and cooperate with the school's nominated District Truancy Service upon their request. All information remains completely confidential.
