Having been born and grown up in Christchurch, Martin has a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Human Resources from the University of Canterbury and has recently completed papers from the highly regarded Otago MBA course

Martin is married with a son at primary school and, along with rock climbing, swimming and house renovating, enjoys community and charitable work through his membership of the Rotary Club of Christchurch.
