Madinagoodway = Mari Pettersson

I’m a freelance conceptor, art director, designer, brainstormer... whatever you need me to be – well, almost.

Born in Finland and also lived in Ireland prior to moving to NZ in 2004, my background is rich with both through-the-line and below-the-line experience, particularly DM, CRM and promos. I love 360 degree thinking and coming up with weird and wonderful ways for brands to interact with the consumers and customers. Designing logos and T-shirts is also close to my heart.

I’m one of those rare hybrid creatives mastering the whole process from concept and scamps to finished art. Production finesses I leave for the experts though. Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), I can mac up layouts to take pressure off the studio if need be, but I prefer the thinking bit.

I’m insightful, passionate, ambitious, quick-thinking, industrious, conscientious and fun to have around. I can draw, spot spelling mistakes, make believable monkey-noises, teach you Finnish dirty words and give great shoulder massages. With headline copy and basic high-res retouching abilities, you’d have yourself a pretty good resource in me :-)
