Hi! My name is Kate Mooar

I've just set up my own business as a way to satisfy my fabric fetish and my love of creating beautiful things.

I am also an at home mum to three fantastic children - Henry aged 11, Olivia aged 9 and Molly aged 6. They keep me busy and are certainly very patient with their Mum when the creative urge takes her away to another world!

After leaving high school I trained as a physiotherapist. A great profession as it enabled me to travel and work in the UK and the US. With children in our lives, I eventually began working part time, and with that came the need to 'entertain ' myself!

I started with soap making as my husband, a builder, had made some wooden soap dishes for a friend to sell and we had been left with quite a few. It soon became clear that soap making was not my thing. That is when I turned to fabric and started sewing again after many years.

Now I am constantly looking for new fabrics and ideas. I love what I do (most of the time!). I am very very fortunate to have an incredibly supportive husband and family without whom things would just not get done.
