Fuelled by my natural New Zealand individuality, that most Kiwi designers seem to be born with, I aspire to create contemporary, artistic, beautiful gowns for my Brides to wear for their Wedding Day. Each gown design is created around our extreme variations in wedding venues available to us in New Zealand, and I try and create my collection to reflect this, so I cover all options. I am passionate about creating Wedding Gowns for the New Zealand Wedding Market but am also passionate about wanting to share our individual take on wedding gown fashion to the world. Our workmanship and attention to detail has been the founding footprint for my label and what my brand stands for. My reputation has been built on this, and is what clients expect when they order one of our creations. You are only as successful as your last gown, and I dont ever take that for granted. Being naturally humble about the success of my business and the talent my staff showcase within our designs has been my winning factor in keeping myself and my staff grounded. We are like a big family at work and our work life is centred around hard work but mostly having fun, with the clients and between ourselves, and always keeping the floor open to opportunity, new ideas, and driving the passion that emcompasses our designs. At Kate Dowman I like to create a magical experience for every bride, and their experience and memory of it should last a lifetime.
