In the beginning ...

Gravitate Limited began life in early 2001, when it was launched by founding Directors Andrew Ferguson, John Lennard and Duncan Watt.

Originally called Innovanet Limited, and renamed to Gravitate in 2004, the company's early focus was on providing a unique and specialised web publishing service to the visual arts. This happened through the launch of www.artfind.co.nz, and was further advanced with the launch of the Virtual Curator web publishing and cataloguing application a year later.

Over recent years, Gravitate has enjoyed a growing reputation as a provider of Internet services to the arts generally, expanding this service to other industries.

The last few years has seen Gravitate work on a wide range of projects from small artistic websites to large custom built web publishing applications.

Gravitate benefits from a strong skill base ready to take on the most challenging technical jobs, while still being nimble enough to ensure that flexibility and creativity are never lost.
