A new agency has launched to help companies manage staff shortages in the wake of growing redundancies.

Ginja Marketing and Event Management Limited now supplies contractors to companies forced to cut staff in response to the growing financial crisis.

Recent figures released by Statistics NZ* confirm that thousands are losing their jobs as New Zealand's recession deepens with the unemployment rate jumping to 4.6 per cent from 4.2 in September 2008.

Founder and Managing Director of Ginja Carol Gidden says, despite cutting back on staff employers should not underestimate the need for greater customer service as a competitive edge at the retail level.
