New Zealand's smallish size (an area only slightly larger than the U.K.) provides numerous locations and maximum film-making scope within a short distance, hence lowering transportation and travel time costs.

New Zealand has it all, whatever the location requirement. Accessable snow-covered Alps, volcanoes, glaciers, limestone caves complete with ancient stalagmites and stalactites, dramatic geysers, primeval mud pools, hot springs, lakes nestled in mountain valleys, beautiful clear running rivers, and farmland so green it makes your eyes water. Not to mention a plethora of both usual and unusual flora and fauna, world class vineyards, orchards, wheat fields and high country sheep stations. English towns and modern cities, lowland swamps, impressive sand dunes, and beaches with sand ranging from black to golden to white, with rugged and windswept coastlines to gentle fern-fringed bays.
