flatout

Flatout is a small team based in Southland that like to take on all sorts of projects large and not so large. We believe that we can 'get on' with people from all walks of life and we try to keep our 'geek speak' to a minimum. Geek speak, it's a wonderful phrase.

Steve is the GM and makes sure the company runs along smoothly. Steve likes adventure sports and tackling insurmountable problems as well as being a black belt in full contact sudoku ... (in reality he likes woodworking, stamp collecting and reading, but how boring does that sound!)

Kyle is the head-honcho (or at least the rest of us let him think he is) and he is also the owner of the company. Kyle spends his days as the lead developer/client liaison person and his nights as, well, um, lead developer and client liaison. He is also a qualified chef and is available for corporate events as a one man band (and unfortunately that IS the truth).

Rick rounds out this formidable team with technical knowledge and expertise that has not often been seen in these parts. Along with his technical prowess Rick also has an allergy to, well, everything. Remember that kid in the bubble? Well he has nothing on Rick!! Bets have been known to have been placed on exactly how much Rick will swell up when he eats the nuts hidden in his chicken sandwich!

Kyle started the primordial ooze of internet, technical smarts, and customer service that would eventually mutate into Flatout in 1999 when he came to Invercargill for a three month contract as a chef. He built some good relationships with some really nice Southlanders and basically hasn’t left.

We have clients throughout New Zealand and in a few other spots around the world and our clients vary from multinational corporations to government departments and one person owner/operator businesses.
