The gorgeous range of possum merino knitwear is fashionable, soft, warm and cosy for winter. Favourite winter knits include beanie hats, berets, fingerless and full-fingered gloves and a big selection of scarves.

Possums are not native to New Zealand, once introduced in the late 1800’s the Australian Brushtail possum bred rapidly due to a large supply of food and no natural predators until their numbers reached an estimated seventy million. The possum is now considered a pest and a serious threat to the New Zealand native forest and birds. Possums are not hunted specifically for their fur; the fur is a by-product of the huge effort to save the New Zealand environment and native species.
