We have been in business since 1992 designing and making diverse products from postal carry systems, to super strong trousers and packs for just about anything.

Since we have been in business our market has changed from mostly NZ made to mostly, er, not. We've hung in there and are proud of it.

What makes us Made From New Zealand?

Cactus is a small New Zealand manufacturer of outdoor and industrial products. Since 1992 we've been providing products for industry and recreation that are designed with function in mind and built to last. Our products are built with Oeko-Tex certified fabrics and are constructed entirely in New Zealand using renewable energy.

The significance of our way of doing things - designing for function and durability rather than fashion, making things locally, and being a small, integrated business is that our products embody benefits including cleaner production, socially responsible employment practices and the promise that if something does go wrong with your product - we can fix it. This then means our design and manufacturing processes are informed and changes made, not forgotten about and thrown out when the slate is wiped clean for next season's latest hot products. We seek to continuously evaluate and improve all aspects of our business - but we have a critical eye and don't make changes just for the sake of change.
