What makes us Made From New Zealand?

Artfind was created by Andrew Ferguson and John Lennard back in 2001, two kiwis with a passion for supporting NZ Arts. Andrew had developed a solid background in marketing and business, and John had the technical know-how. They saw a need in the market for promotion of NZ Art online and decided to build a site that could offer NZ art lovers a central online market place to browse, buy, commission and rent NZ art, whilst also being able to contact the artists and galleries directly.

For artists and galleries they developed an easy to use online arts cataloguing and web publishing system called Virtual Curator. Virtual Curator is used to run the Artfind.co.nz site and other NZ arts sites. Artfind membership packages offer NZ artists and galleries economical online promotional opportunities without the cost of building their own site from scratch.

The main site content (artworks, artist and gallery profiles, events etc) is uploaded by our members, NZ artists and galleries. Artists & galleries must have an NZ mailing address in order to join.

Artfind.co.nz and Virtual Curator proved to be such a success that Andrew and John went on to build more sites for the creative industries in NZ and now operate a successful full service web agency called Gravitate Ltd providing web solutions to variety of NZ industries.

Artfind is still owned and operated from Auckland by Gravitate. We provide a dedicated support service to our members and the site continues to gain attention from buyers both nationally and internationally. We take feedback from our members and site visitors seriously and use this feedback to continually improve our service to members and site visitors.
