Aroha Island offers affordable accommodation (camping, cottage, bunkroom, lodge) an extremely attractive surroundings. The education centre provides information about the rich flora and fauna, and guided kiwi bird night walks are available. Swimming, kayaking, bird watching, and many more activites on the island.

A causeway connects the island to the mainland in the Kerikeri Inlet. Thus, Aroha Island can be used as a perfect base for excursions and activities in the popular Bay of Islands and Far North including Cape Reinga. A stay at Aroha Island is quiet and peaceful, yet only 15 minutes away from charming Kerikeri village.

Aroha Island belongs to QEII National Trust and is managed on volunteer basis by the Aroha Island Charitable Trust: Enthusiastic supporters strive to make every visit a special one with the feeling of Aroha ("love" in Maori language).

Aroha means "love" in Maori language, and that's what the trust members and visitors feel strongly.
