The idea behind the Free Art Project is to provide a creative and interactive environment open to the public to create and experiment with the aim of creating an experience and content that will be spread virally through word of mouth and media coverage due to its unique concept.

The idea was concieved by the James Stewart, the founder of New Zealand's new online gallery www.ArtKlick.co.nz and proudly sponsored by Made From New Zealand, WelTec, yMedia, Zoomin and Rythm and vines.
