I really don't think you should be travelling to Tibet and not seeing Everest Base Camp – what a perfect opportunity to DRIVE to the foot of the world’s highest mountain instead of walking (takes about 7 days on the Nepal side). There is something so magical about Mt Everest (or Qomolongma as the Tibetans call it), it’s hard to pinpoint what, but there is definitely something spiritual about her. The drive there is windy and bumpy but absolutely worth it and the staggering mountain views along the route take your mind off the bumps and the altitude.
